It was very good thank you! Found it extremely helpful especially the skid plane part. I also went out driving with a police officer in the car which was interesting but he gave me lots of helpful pointers on ways to improve my driving. Thank you again for organising a separate spot for me I appreciate it.

The driving event which I attended last Saturday was outstanding. I believe that giving young drivers the earliest opportunity to get behind the wheel under the best possible supervision is really important. And I am very grateful for the opportunity to have been able to drive having not done so for over 18 months. I really appreciate being accommodated so well without any fuss. And it's certainly helped my confidence so that when I do finally get my licence back in the spring once I have passed the medical threshold I know that I can still drive ok.

What an excellent programme and opportunity for young pre-and post-drivers. I thought the day was very well put together.

The scheme is aimed at young qualified drivers aged 17 to 30 and young non-drivers aged 15 years or over. This allows us to run two events simultaneously and provides invaluable, potentially lifesaving skills.

The courses are tailored specifically to impart a dynamic mix of workshops and driving challenges, set within the inspirational British Grand Prix venue and the home of British Motor Racing - Silverstone Circuit.

Over 15,000 drivers have benefited since the CarKraft Driver Improvement Scheme was first introduced in 2001. This high volume scheme continues to be hugely popular and regularly over-subscribed.

Road user behaviour is responsible for or a major factor in 95% of collisions. We are therefore committed to delivering a life-long learning process for drivers in order to establish a road safety mindset.

A full and independent evaluation published by the Department for Transport as part of a best practice study concluded that:

"Catching young road users prior to full-scale independent driving brought about the greatest improvements in attitudes"
